The duties and responsibilities of the Fire Chief shall include, but not be restricted to the following.
(A) The Chief shall make no purchases without prior approval from the Mayor or City Council.
(B) Fire run reports must be filled out completely and submitted to the City Clerk no later than two days after a fire.
(C) Copies of attendance records at regular fire meetings must be submitted to City Clerk the day following the meeting.
(D) Attendance records at fire school must be submitted to the City Clerk at the end of school.
(E) Fire Department volunteers shall
receive no pay when on duty as a city employee.
(F) In addition to the Fire Chief’s
regular responsibilities, other duties may be assigned by the Mayor.
(G) The Chief shall give a report on the Fire Department at every regular City Council meeting.
(H) A complete roster of all Fire Department members must be submitted to the City Clerk with the responsibilities (position) listed for each member. The list must be updated as changes occur.
(I) The Chief shall be responsible for all Fire Department equipment.
(J) The Chief shall be responsible
for maintenance of garage and other facilities used by the Fire Department.
