The following shall be work standards and guideline for radio dispatchers.
(A) No purchase shall be made without prior approval from the Mayor or City Council.
(B) No changes in the work schedule shall be made without approval from the Mayor.
(C) Dispatchers shall dress appropriately and maintain a neat appearance.
(D) There shall be no loafing in the radio room.
(E) Police log must be accurate. Location of police must be logged every 30 minutes. Any falsification of records shall result in dismissal.
(F) The radio room shall be clean and orderly at all times.
(G) Length of job is indefinite. Position may be eliminated at any time.
(H) When on duty, a radio dispatcher shall receive no pay for fire calls. No dispatcher shall leave the work area unless the radio is covered.
(I) Vacations must be scheduled according to needs of business.
(J) Falsifications on logs shall be prohibited.
(K) Sleeping on the job shall be prohibited.
(L) In the event of absence due
to sickness, injury and the like, the Mayor shall be notified at least
five hours in advance, except in case of emergency.
